M/A Caesar is a modern dredging barge developed for demanding maritime contractor assignments, combining high capacity with flexible solutions. The vessel is 33 metres long and 13.5 metres wide, originally built in 2000/2003, with the latest rebuild in 2025.
Onboard is a powerful Hitachi EX1200 excavator providing a digging depth of up to 19 metres, and with several different buckets – including an environmental bucket – Caesar can handle both large and environmentally sensitive dredging projects. Three solid support legs of 19.5 metres ensure stability during work.
Caesar is well equipped with modern machinery and generator solutions, including an electric generator at 400v/220v/24v, as well as tanks for water, diesel, and sewage with good capacity. The vessel is designed for longer assignments, with four cabins, a galley and lounge, along with office and meeting facilities. Sanitary facilities with shower, WC, laundry room and drying room provide good working conditions for the crew, and a large storage room ensures efficient logistics.
Also belonging to Caesar is the split barge Balbinus, which has a load capacity of 300 cubic metres, as well as the tugboat T/B Vaksdal. With this complete package, Sjøentreprenøren AS offers a robust and efficient solution for all types of dredging assignments, from large industrial projects to environmentally focused initiatives.
