Sea and underwater work for bridge foundations for Hålogalandsbrua
The Hålogalands Bridge was at one point Norway's second longest suspension bridge with a length of 1533 metres.
The marine contractor was responsible for all marine and underwater work with the foundations for the caissons on the project. Extensive concrete work for the caissons with diving at great depths, 25-35 metres. The marine contractor established foundations and was responsible for the sinking and underpinning of a total of 5 caissons.
A total of approximately 11,000m3 of loose materials and rock were excavated and blasted.
Cast concrete underwater, approximately 2000m3.
